Matcha whisk Chasen made of white bamboo
A traditional and essential tool for preparing matcha to obtain its smooth and creamy texture. The crema , or chasen, is a piece carved from a single piece of bamboo, used to whisk green tea powder in a small amount of water. With a rapid back-and-forth motion, the whisked tea takes the form of a fine emulsion, similar to that found in the Japanese tea ceremony: chanoyu.
