The HARIO Technica siphon (or syphon, if you're so inclined) is the epitome of coffee theater and can produce stunning coffee. Whether you want to impress your friends or simply brew a delicious cup of coffee in an elegant and elaborate way, this is the brewing kit for you. The siphon consists of a metal stand that holds a glass bulb, a glass chamber with a tube at the bottom that fits into the bulb, and a fabric filter.
There are several ways to use this beautiful Japanese creation, but whichever way you choose, the process works the same way. It produces an exceptionally clean and flavorful drink, and when used correctly, it's hard to beat.
Everything you need is included in the box, other than the alcohol to fuel the included burner. While the included burner works, it will make getting the most out of this brewing method much more difficult and frustrating (this is the same with any siphon you can buy). We recommend that if you're not already the proud owner of a small butane burner, you invest in one. We suggest this great little burner from Eight Ounce Coffee that gives you plenty of control and more than enough consistent heat for all your siphoning needs.
