THE SMART WATER FILTER THAT DOES MORE

The CLARIS filter cartridge contains a layer of natural active ingredients at its lower end that stabilise the water in the tank and thus reduce limescale deposits at the bottom. The system works without any additional energy or action: thanks to the natural movement of the water in the tank, it constantly flows through the layer of active ingredients. With its composition based on activated carbon, the CLARIS filter cartridge always uses the principle of upward flow. By exchanging ions, its upper part filters exactly the amount of water needed for a perfect cup of coffee. Thanks to RFID technology, the coffee machine detects the presence of a filter and automatically activates the corresponding mode. It continuously collects information on the filter usage and indicates when it is empty. Replacing the filter has never been easier and CLARIS Smart+ thus deploys optimum efficiency.

Automatic filter detection

JURA uses modern RFID technology to enable the filter and coffee machine to communicate with each other. The machine automatically detects the presence of a filter using the Intelligent Water System (IWS®). It then automatically switches to filter mode and starts rinsing. When the filter capacity is exhausted, the coffee machine indicates that the filter needs to be replaced soon. If this is not done, the machine activates descaling mode. It then prompts you to descale after the corresponding period of use. And to do this, the filter must be removed. No more operating errors due to misunderstandings.
